Dr. Gabriel Mattei is fellowship-trained in Interventional Pain Medicine, as well as Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation & Certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine. He was born and raised in Puerto Rico where he completed his medical education at Universidad Central del Caribe.  He then moved to New Jersey where he completed his residency at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School/ Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation.  Following this, he completed a multidisciplinary fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Hudson Medical in New York, NY.

Dr. Mattei Gonzalez specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, sports-related injuries, and spine conditions. He has special interests in interventional spine, musculoskeletal medicine and regenerative medicine.

Dr. Mattei Gonzalez values working closely with patients.  By providing a multidisciplinary approach he seeks to accomplish the ultimate goal of alleviating pain, increasing function and improving quality of life.
